"A PAWNING WE WILL GO" by JTK.CA

"A PAWNING WE WILL GO"

I just filled my backpack with DVDs and a CD to try to sell at Guelph's great used disc shop, "THE BEAT GOES ON." They pay way better than anywhere else I've tried.

Anyway, my Disability (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder) pension payments don't come in for another week, and I'm out of soda pop. Carbonation is one thing in my life I refuse to live without.

Selling my DVDs for soda pop reminds me of one of my favourite "Weird Al" Yankovic quotes, "I sold my kids for cheese."

Jonathan Tad Ketchen (JTK.CA) is happily single, but is still stupidly struggling with whether or not to be happy with that. Darn hormones!

"BABBLE" by JTK.CA

"BABBLE"
by JTK.CA
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I babble when I'm by myself. I believe the most recent words to come from my mouth were, "barnacle tweezer electric elbow daisies." It's my creative cauldron, a stew of thoughts, which usually leads to nothing, but might lead to my latest masterpiece. Actually, believe it or not, I think it's my way of remaining sane. I have Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder to the point of living on Disability pensions for it. This babbling though is more of a Tourette's syndrome-like word streak. The thing is, unlike Tourette's, I can control my babbling. My babbling is an anxiety reliever, but when I'm in public, I generally silently whisper the babbling to avoid being carried off in a straight jacket. My babbling is often a string of real words, but it may also be words completely foreign to me, making me wonder if God gave me the gift of tongues but forgot to tell me.
"INSERT 'THE TWILIGHT ZONE' THEME MUSIC HERE" by JTK.CA
"INSERT 'THE TWILIGHT ZONE' THEME MUSIC HERE"
by JTK.CA
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Just a day or so ago, I was thinking that one can be afraid of living for fear of dying, and that he could even die from choking, but it would be stupid to stop eating because of that fear.

Then I come to my facebook
http://tinyfb.com/JonathanTadKetchen
"Notifications" a day or so after having these thoughts, and I am greeted by this:

"Your daily kiss fortune: One cannot refuse to eat just because there is a chance of being choked. --- Love is a great risk, but not loving is of greater risk - even though you may have been hurt badly before - a great love will come to you soon and you must be ready to accept it. Send a kiss, spread love!!"

The "One cannot refuse to eat just because there is a chance of being choked" sentence has "The Twilight Zone" theme music going through my head since I just recently had the same thought.

"POSITIVE POVERTY" by JTK.CA

"POSITIVE POVERTY" by JTK.CA
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm looking forward to going gadget shopping today. It's a perfect day for it, since I have no money. When all of my funds have dried up for the month--that is the best time for a window shopping spree. I can peruse my dreams to my heart's content, without doing further damage to my budget, and make more realistic decisions on what to buy in the future, when the money is available. It will happen. I just have to wait and save.
When impatience rears its ugly head, I can say to it, "Shut up and leave me alone. I've lived my whole life without this, so I can wait a little longer. Besides, by the time I've saved enough for this, the top of the line gadget will slowly have moved to the bottom of the line, and this thing that I just 'had to have' will be much less expensive than its original price."
